Undergraduate research experience is critical for students who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. degree and wish to have a competitive application to top doctoral programs. Similar to top quality undergraduate research experience that members of our group previously received, we are committed to providing students the most supportive environment we could for them to learn how to do research for the first time. Students who are interested in joining our group should email Dr. Le their CV and an unofficial transcript. We encourage undergraduate students who have finished at least one year of organic chemistry and lab (Chem 221, 225 and 222, 226) to apply.
Interested applicants who have experience in organic synthesis, especially total synthesis or multistep synthesis, or medicinal chemistry and like to transition these skills and learn how to apply enzymology towards discovering novel therapeutics agents, should send a cover letter, a Curriculum Vitae, a brief research summary, and contact information of three references to Hoang Le.
We are currently seeking highly motivated graduate students who would like to do research in medicinal chemistry and enzymology. All potential graduate students must apply via the University of Mississippi Graduate School’s online application procedure. All application materials must be submitted through the University of Mississippi Graduate School’s online application system. Potential graduate students should also send Dr. Le an email to express their interest in joining the lab so that we will be expecting their applications.
